If your storage needs include mobility and adaptability Seagate’s FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-portable Drive is exactly what you need. This drive is small and very light weight perfect for someone whose computing needs require mobility. The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Ultra-portable comes in multiple colors and drive sizes (320GB to 1.5 TB) and can be adapted to use USB 2.0, USB 3.0, Firewire, and eSATA
The drive we received to review was their silver 500 GB USB 2.0 model, it’s about the size of your palm and about a ¼ inch thick. It also has two small LCDs mounted in the interface adapter that lets you know when it is connected. I can say it is very stylish looking.

When hooked up to machines running Win7 and Win XP it was detected without any problems and ran well on both. Seagate has graciously preloaded an executable backup program on the drive that makes backing up your files automatic. For those like me who can never remember to do a backup this is a godsend. The most impressive feature of this drive is the adaptability through the use of corded adapters. I already mentioned the different interfaces this drive can be adapted to use but, it can also be married with other GoFlex devices and allow TV and network use.
I didn’t see any cons to these drives they are of good construction, after all what else would you expect from Seagate. I can recommend these drives for all computers especially laptops, netbooks and other mobile computing devices.
