I’m the family go to guy when ever dealing with electronics and computers. I’ve always had an assorted collection of cables, tools and components to help me do what I’ve needed to do. One thing I have always lacked was a good way to clean dust, dirt and debris off of my electronics. In the past I’ve had to resort to buying canned air to do the job. The problem with this is there never seemed to be enough air in the can to get the job finished and the cost of having to constantly buy canned air or dusters quickly adds up.
Well those days are over because my wife asked me to use and review the METRO Data Vac Electric Duster. In the past it has taken me the better part of the day to clean both of our computer towers but, using the METRO Data Vac Electric Duster cut the time to a little over two hours. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. Since receiving this I have used it not only to blow out our towers but, also blew out our keyboards and a bag-less vacuum. I’ve further used it to clean metal shavings from a computer case that I had modded by cutting a “blow hole” in the top panel. In every one of theses applications the METRO Data Vac Electric Duster did a outstanding job!
The METRO Data Vac Electric Duster is small enough to comfortably use with one hand, has a twelve foot cord, and several attachments to help get into those hard to reach areas. The air it moves is powerful enough to remove almost any dust coating from your electronic thereby eliminating heat death caused by the insulating properties of dust. It has an easy to remove washable filter on the bottom. One major plus is, if you clean with canned air once a month you can easily spend five to ten dollars every time, the METRO Data Vac Electric Duster can be found for under fifty dollars. The savings would pay for this in less than a year. The only true con I found was the sound level. This has a high power 500 watt motor and because of this it does get loud.
The METRO Data Vac can be used on more than computers.
