I’ve been working on finding some low cal snacks and one I’ve found that I like is Jello Fruit Snacks that I made with sugar free Jello. I messed up the first batch and each snack was a little over 1 calorie but I did a second batch correctly and they were less than 1/2 calorie each. Of course it didn’t help that I ate the entire batch in one sitting but even that was only 40 calories.
My friends at Lucy’s Cookies has come out with Brownie Cakes and Snack’n Go Packs. The Snack’n Go Packs are great to toss in a pocket, backpack, purse or lunchbox. There are 6 packs in each box and each pack contains 3 cookies. If you remember from my original Lucy’s reviewthere are 120-130 calories in 3 cookies.
The Brownie Cakes have 4 packs of 2 brownies each per box. A serving is 1 brownie at 120 calories so that makes 240 calories per pack. If you’re not counting calories that’s great but if you’re like me and count every calorie it just means you have something you can share.
As with all Lucy’s products they’re gluten free and made without milk, eggs, peanuts or tree nuts. They’re also non GMO, 0 Cholesterol, 0 Trans Fat and low sodium but they sure don’t taste like they’re missing anything.
My only complaint about these products is the packaging. Both the Brownie Cakes and Snack’n Go Cookies are in pouches that are very hard to open. I ended up making a small snip with scissors in one end of the packet so it would tear open and I didn’t have to fight with it.
