We love playing board games so when I saw I could get my choice of product from Mattel to review I jumped on Bezzerwizzer. Bezzerwizzer is sort of like Trivial Pursuit where you answer questions in different categories to move around the board but that’s where the similarities end. In Bezzerwizzer you can swap and steal categories from your opponents.
Bezzerwizzer is played with 2-4 teams consisting of 1 or more players on each team. Each team gets 1 Zwap tile, 2 Bezzerwizzer tiles and 4 random category tiles. Each team decides in what order they want to answer the category questions based on difficulty. The Bezzerwizzer tile can be played to allow you to also answer another team’s question. If they get the answer wrong but you’re right you get to move ahead on the board. The Zwap tile gives you the right to swap one of your category tiles with an opponent.
The Bezzerwizzer and Zwap tiles are what adds to the fun and unpredictability of the game. You might feel you’ve got great category tiles and will easily win but your opponents can take that away from you with 1 Zwap tile. As you can probably tell, the more teams there are the more unpredictable the game can be.

If you’re looking for a last minute gift or just the thing to liven up your next gathering I’d recommend Bezzerwizzer. Bezzerwizzer sells for $29.99 online at shop.mattel.com or at stores like ToysRus and Walmart.
