Try Snapshot by Progressive To Save

With costs of everything rising I’m sure you’d to find a way to cut at least one monthly bill. Progressive has a way to help you do just that with their Snapshot. Snapshot is a small device that plugs into your car’s diagnostic post (located under the dash) and it wirelessly sends information about your car and your driving to Progressive. You use this for a month and at then end find out how much money Progressive can save you on your car insurance.

I got a Snapshot to try and my month isn’t up yet but so far I’m finding it makes me a bit more conscientious than I was before. Now I’m not a crazy driver but I am mindful of the quick starts and stops and lane changes, you know all those things that might cause an accident or ticket.

In addition to the Snapshot Progressive sent me some awesome Flo swag. I got a keychain, t-shirt, Flo name tag and Progressive white apron. I thought this would make a terrific Halloween costume and a friend’s 15 year old daughter agreed so she’ll be wearing it on October 31.

Don’t forget to sign up for Progressive’s Snapshot and see what your savings could be.

Progressive is going to provide 1 reader of What’s That Buzz their own Flo swag so you or your daughter can be Flo for a day.

This is a quick turnaround and a winner will be chosen at 11:59pm CST Sunday September 30.

Once on a day trip with my elderly mom, we were on the thruway when the car started to rattle and shake all over the road. We pulled off and when road side assistance came, they found that the lugnuts to hold the wheel on were not tightened and several had fallen off and were rattling around in the hub cap. we were lucky we didn't lose the wheel and get into a horrific accident.

  7. A few years ago, I was taking my son to school and was rear ended by a teenager going to school. She was driving a brand new Mustang and did very little damage to her car but put a huge dent in my bumper. That was just the beginning to my year of bad luck, I was rear ended 5 more times in the next few months…distractions, texting, talking on cell phone, not watching the road. Come on people, driving is serious business and you should give it all your attention,

  8. i almost hit a mail box one time when i tried to look at my phone.. stupid i know. i dont do that anymore tho..

My Dad was one not to ask for directions, I remember on a family road trip, we knew he was lost and my Mom mentioned to him about stopping for directions. It wasn't until we ended up on a street and drove down it only to find it was a dead end, in a cemetary, did my Dad finally agree to ask for directions. We laughed so hard and still tease my Dad years later.
    Thanks so much.

I was driving and realized there was a dead wasp in the cup holder of my car. I tried to pick it up adn then realized it wasn't dead. It ended up stinging me dozens of times on my hand and arm . Luckily I was going fairly slow and was able to pull the car over but it completely freaked me out.

  13. I was driving late at night when my car suddenly died. I was in the middle of nowhere and scared to death. We were in Maine and it was not only freezing outside but also so dark that you could not even see in front of you. I had to walk for miles before I came to a house and as I walked I kept imagining that someone or something would jump at me from the woods on either side. I still remember that night and it still gives me chills.

A funny driving story, at least funny to me..was about ten years ago, i was driving my mother home from my aunt's house who we were visiting in CT.
We had directions to get home written on a piece of paper…the window was open..and my mother was holding the directions..and whoosh…out when the directions…it probably took an extra hour to figure out how to get home..but we made it.

  15. It's not my driving experience but I can tell you a lot of people don't pay attention when they are driving. We live in the country and our mailbox is by the road. We've had to replace it at least 10 times from people running into it.
