Epson Artisan 835 All-in-One Printer

I didn’t tell my husband I was going to be reviewing  an Epson Artisan 835 All-in-One Printer.  It was an early Father’s Day surprise. The day it showed up, I asked my teen son to hook it up for me so it would be ready when his dad got home from work- I am NOT very technically minded. After a quick look at the instructions, my son says “Mom, look at this-  this is  like easy enough for a first grader-I bet you could do this.” I checked them out- and he was right! I hooked the printer up by my lonesome in less than 15 minutes! And, may I add that 7 of those minutes were just letting this little wonder machine prime after installing the ink.  I love the sleek design, and the touch screen is so neat! We decided to play around with the printer and test out the features- WOW! The quality of the photos are incredible! Son had some pics from camp on his camera and they turned out awesome! Right about this time, our little dogs start going nuts so even though we can’t hear the car yet, we know that dad is going to be here any minute.

We roll the printer away from the computer and throw a blanket over it and get ready for the surprise. I had decided to ask hub if he would mind running to the library b/c I need to have something printed for the kid’s school work. Of course he said yes, but he went through his typical grumble about how we need to get a printer and can he have the computer cuz if he’s going all the way back to town, he might as well get his chicken coop plans printed and he had an ornament plan he wanted to print out ( hub loves using his scrollsaw to make ornaments for friends and family) I said sure- have at it. My son and I were smiling and winking at each other as we followed him into the family room. As he was pulling up the plans to load on his flash drive , I said “Hun , on second thought why don’t you just use this Epson printer right here, and save the gas money?” “HUH?” I pulled off the blanket ( of course he never even noticed the covered something in the corner) ” Happy early Father’s Day Surprise!”  Basically this little tale ends here because except for dinner- him and my son were in there the rest of the night. Hub printed some pics from the camera, and got like 7000 new plans for ornaments, a couple cute birdhouse plans, a picnic table and I don’t know what all. I heard all about how they were going to be able to print onto cds/dvds.  I listened to rave reviews on the easy interface, the handy touch screen, the speed…and more, but I quit listening. I already know it is a great machine. For those of you who want to know more, here is an overview of  the Epson Artisan 835 All-in-One Printer:
